Wow! These photos are so close-up to the musicians, and especially the selfie with Ally Venable (Some might say Johan is a lucky man but I think he makes his own luck).The effort that Johan puts into his work, whether written or photographic, demonstrates the deep interest and love Johan has for blues music. Wonderful insights into what must have been a fantastic evening. I wish I’d been there!
Thank you Chris! Over the years I saw and heard many bluesmen and -women and their bands. I am ever so happy that younger artists like Katie Henry and Ally Venable are very good with the or their blues and -as you can see on the pictures- keep the BLUES ALIVE!
Wat een enthousiast verhaal en mooie foto. Daaruit blijkt dat nog steeds velen de blues een warm hart toedragen. Ik kan helemaal invoelen dat je een dag later nog met het hoofd in de wolken loopt. Zoveel moois gehoord en gezien! Kippenvel , veroorzaakt door muziek die je zó dierbaar is.
Dat dat altijd zo moge blijven. En ik twijfel er eigenlijk niet aan dat dat zo zal zijn.
Zo is het precies, Wim! Het is een beleving en het (blues) leven in één!
